Entrelac Hat Class

We think that a hat is the perfect item to learn a new technique!

Entrelac knitting is a clever knitting technique that creates a fabric that appears to be woven. There is no weaving involved, instead the knitter uses short rows to work sections individually. By strategically using decreases and picking up stitches, the woven pattern emerges. A multi-colored yarn with a long repeat makes color work easy but the knitter can also use different colors of yarn in each section to create their own color work pattern. Changing colors is not necessary to do entrelac but it does enhance the woven affect.
