
Tube to Sock Transformation Class

We will start with a machine knitted tube and magically, with a couple of snips of yarn, transform the tube into a sock!
Learn how to make an after thought heel, decrease for the toe, make a stripe ribbing and a stretchy bind off. Each tube yields two pair of socks, make one for you and a friend!
Prerequisites: Students must know how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, and be comfortable working with sock weight yarn and small needles.
Skills Taught: How to divide the tube, picking up stitches, the after thought heel, striped ribbing, a stretchy bind off.
Cost: $50.00 Class size: Minimum of 4 students, maximum of 8.

32 or 40 inch circular needle in a size that will give you a gauge of 8 - 8 1/2 stitches per inch.
Interlocking markers - at least 16

Scrap yarn Homework: Before class wind small skeins into balls. Using one of the small balls work a gauge swatch to determine needle size. Once gauge is determined the swatch can be undone and used for socks
