Entrechat Bonnet DK pattern by Frogginette
Entrechat Bonnet (DK) by Frogginette. Looking for a lightning-quick, fun knit? This adorable baby bonnet, designed to be a companion piece for my Entrechat shrug, is as practical as it is sweet. Its interesting, fun construction and distinctive textured pattern in the front will make you want to make one in every color… and every yarn weight if you want to: two additional yarn weights, fingering and worsted are available as separate patterns. This bonnet is knit seamlessly. The front of the bonnet is knit flat, featuring an easy textured stitch; the crown is knit in the round after the back neck is finished by a three-needle bind off. An applied I-cord and I-cord ties are worked on the neck portion, then an applied I-cord is worked around the front to cinch in the fit around the face.
