Learn to Knit

This class will teach the student the basics of knitting. Learn how to cast on, knit, purl, how to make a gauge swatch, bind off, seam and more! You'll leave this class with a completed project of fingerless mitts.

Prerequisites: No previous knitting experience is necessary!
Skills Taught: Long tail cast on, knit and purl stitches, binding off and
mattress stitch.
Dates: Saturday, January 11, 18, 25, & February 1 from 10 - noon.
Cost: $120.00
Class size: Minimum of 4 students, maximum of 8.

Materials: To be purchased at GarenHuis Yarn Studio.
Yarn: 200 yards of any worsted weight yarn.
Needle: US 8 straight needle. A short wooden needle is recommended.
Buttons: 2
Big eye, blunt tip tapestry needle.
