Magic Loop Sock Class

If you love the idea of hand knit socks but hate fussing with double pointed needles, this is the class for you!  Learn to knit a classic sock from the top down using the magic loop method.  This technique uses one long circular needle instead of four double pointed needles.  No sock knitting experience is necessary for this class.

Dates:  Class will meet for three two hour sessions

May 18, June 8, and June 22 from 1pm - 3pm

Prerequisites:Must be an intermediate knitter, comfortable with casting on, knit and purl stitches, increases and decreases and binding off. These concepts will not be taught in class. 

Materials Needed (to be purchased at GarenHuis Yarn Studio): 

  • Sock weight yarn that has a gauge of 7 stitches per inch, approximately 400 yards.
  • 32 -40 inch circular needle in size that allows you to get a gauge of seven stitches to an inch.
  • Stitch markers
